Slink360 is a professional skill exchange operated by Radius Technology. Our platform lets learners register for skills, allows community members to list the skills they can teach, and routes enquiries through our concierge teams. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and share information when you visit slink360.com, submit registration or contact forms, or interact with any Slink360 experience that links to this policy (collectively, the “Services”).
By using the Services you agree to the practices described below. If you disagree with this policy, please refrain from using Slink and contact us so we can address your concerns.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
We collect information that you voluntarily submit, including:
Skill registration data: Full name, email address, age, gender, state, the skill you would like to learn, and the skills you indicate you can teach. This data is captured through the Skill Registration form and stored in our Firebase Firestore “registrations” collection. If you enter a new teachable skill, the skill name is also recorded so it can appear in our skill catalogue.
Contact desk tickets: Name, work email, phone/WhatsApp, topic, subject, and message submitted through the concierge ticket form. These records are saved to the Firestore “contactSubmissions” collection to track and fulfil support requests.
Email correspondence: If you reach us through the CEO inbox, partnerships desk, or other email links, we receive any details you include in that correspondence.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you browse Slink we automatically record:
Device and connection data such as IP address, browser type, operating system, and device identifiers.
Usage insights including pages viewed, selected skills, timestamped events, and referral URLs which help us understand feature adoption and tutor counts.
Local storage entries (for example, the skill you last selected and your partially completed registration) to streamline your experience during a session.
2.3 Information from Service Providers
We rely on Firebase (Google) for hosting, Firestore databases, and analytics. These providers may receive basic usage information in order to deliver their services and provide us aggregated performance metrics.
3. How We Use Information
We process the information above to:
Facilitate skill matchmaking: Generate registration records, maintain tutor availability counts, display dynamic skill cards for new teachable skills, and share relevant details with our concierge team for follow-up.
Operate and improve Slink360: Diagnose issues, measure experience quality, prioritise new features, and keep the skill catalogue current.
Provide support and communications: Respond to tickets, send operational updates, and contact you about the status of your registration or teaching offer. Marketing messages are sent only with your consent or where permitted by law.
Ensure trust and compliance: Monitor for abuse, enforce our Terms of Service, and satisfy legal, regulatory, or auditing requirements.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information. We share data only when necessary:
Radius Technology personnel and contractors: Our vetted operations, mentor success, partnerships, and engineering teams use your information to review registrations, provision new skills, and deliver support.
Service providers: Firebase/Google (hosting, databases, analytics) and email providers that send concierge responses on our behalf. These partners are bound by contractual obligations to protect your data.
Legal and safety obligations: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, court order, or to protect people, property, or our rights.
Business continuity: If Radius Technology undergoes a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer, user information may be part of the transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.
5. Data Security
Slink runs on Firebase infrastructure with automatic encryption in transit and at rest. Access to Firestore collections is restricted to authorised Radius Technology personnel following least-privilege principles, MFA, and logging. We review access regularly and maintain internal escalation procedures for potential incidents. While we work to protect your information, no online service can guarantee absolute security—please keep your communications professional and notify us immediately of any suspected unauthorised access.
6. Your Rights & Choices
Review or update: You can request copies of, or changes to, your registration or ticket information by emailing privacy@slink.com.
Withdraw or delete: Ask us to delete a registration, remove a community skill, or erase a support ticket. We will honour requests unless retention is required for legal, regulatory, or security purposes.
Communication preferences: Opt out of non-operational messages by following email instructions or contacting us directly.
Cookie controls: Adjust browser settings to limit cookies. Disabling essential cookies may affect navigation, dynamic skill selection, or form persistence.
Local storage: Clear your browser storage to remove cached selections saved on your device.
7. Data Retention
Registration records and teach-skill submissions are retained while we evaluate placements and maintain tutor availability metrics. Contact desk tickets are held for up to 24 months to document support history. We may keep records longer if investigations, legal requirements, or operational safeguards necessitate it. When information is no longer needed we delete it from Firestore or render it anonymous.
8. Regional Privacy Rights
8.1 European Union / United Kingdom (GDPR)
Residents of the EEA or UK can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability and may object to certain processing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. Our legal basis for processing is primarily contract fulfilment and legitimate interest in providing and improving Slink360.
8.2 United States (including California CCPA/CPRA)
US residents can request details about the categories of personal information collected, ask for deletion, or opt out of data sharing where applicable. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. Requests can be made via privacy@slink.com.
8.3 Nigeria (NDPR)
Nigerian residents have rights to access, rectification, erasure, withdrawal of consent, and objection. We process data according to NDPR principles of lawfulness, fairness, transparency, and security. Our Data Protection Officer can be reached at privacy@slink.com.
9. Children's Privacy
The Services are intended for users aged 18 and above. Registration forms include an age field with minimum thresholds, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a minor has submitted data, please contact us so we can delete it promptly.
10. Changes to This Policy
We review this policy whenever our platform evolves—for example, when we roll out new registration features, analytics tooling, or support channels. Material changes will be announced on this page and, when appropriate, by email or in-product notices. The “Last Updated” date reflects the latest revision.
